FIRST HOUSE Construction - March-June 2005

Since 1998, I've lived in seven different rental properties. That's just about one new apartment every year - and a whole lot of moves. Not to mention security deposits, stupid apartment policies, you name it. So, with McLean now moved to Charlotte and our wedding in July, the time was finally right to buy a house.

After lots of searching, we decided to buy a to-be-built house south of Charlotte near Lake Wylie. We love the layout of the house, but the best part for us is the 1/2 acre lot. The back half of the lot is wooded and will provide a relaxing and decently sized backyard, something we weren't expecting to get from our first house.
